My Skunk Stinks at Schools

When they see me they remember and say, "sing My Skunk Stinks." It doesn't matter where we meet- whether at a school or at a store. It doesn't matter when they heard me sing the song. It could have been ten years ago. But for some reason, I'm known as the My Skunk Stinks guy, probably because of the voice characters used to sing the song.

It was a lot of fun writing it with nephew, Aaron Jerome. In our single days we would sit at the piano in our apartment or on college campus and make up songs- crazy songs, and well, even some dumb, sappy songs.

Aaron's main voice character was called Percy Jones. Mine: Mervin Hickory. I wish I could find the tapes of us sitting and making up the silliest stories with our character voices. Maybe I will, one of these days.

The artwork is by the incredible artist Justin Monson. My Skunk Stinks is available as a digital download, along with I'm Glad That I Am Me, and The Mervin Hickory Theme song. Find them at CDBaby.com.
